The project
For a graphic design class.
The task was to create a new record cover design based on an existing 12” sleeve design of our choice.
I decided to take Bob Marley’s ‘Catch a Fire’ album and create my own spin on it.
Original images: Orange pillow (high contrast), a textured painting, and a “burnt” leaf —connoting to fire, lava, charcoal, and depth of old reggae.
Design Variations
Working with different fonts, including hand-made ones. I ended up using the leaf idea for a sticker.
